About SAWA

SAWA is an affiliation of USA Wrestling. All wrestlers must have a valid USA Wrestling Card (which can be purchased at https://www.usawmembership.com. 

SAWA tournaments are in accordance with USA Wrestling age groups:

6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, Junior, and Open

Divisions: Advanced, Beginner, and Girls (separation by division when available)

SAWA tournament pools are done according to actual weight. It is critical that appropriate weights are entered during registration.  Pools are created prior to the tournament beginning and an inaccurate weight could slow down the start of the tournament or result in a wrestler being removed from the tournament with no refund.

Tournaments that have designated weight classes and are not pooled will be noted on the tournament schedule. 

All fall and spring SAWA tournaments are registered on www.trackwrestling.com with exact weight. There is no on site weigh-ins. If you are challenged on your weight the day of the tournament and are determined to be excessively over the weight given, you will be removed from the tourney and possibly banned from further SAWA tournaments.

Times will vary due to the size of the tournament.  All times are approximate. 

Regular Tournaments: 

• $20 Freestyle
• $20 Folkstyle
• $10 Greco

Club Championships:

• $25 Freestyle
• $25 Folkstyle
• $15 Greco 

Foundation Tournament: 

• $25 Freestyle
• $25 Folkstyle
• $10 Greco

SAWA Championships: 

• $30 Freestyle (include t-shirt for all freestyle wrestlers)
• $30 Folkstyle
• $10 Greco

• Regular Tournaments:   Custom medals for the top 3 wrestlers in each pool. 
• Club Championships:  Custom medals for the top 3 wrestlers in each pool.  Trophies for Top 3 Clubs in each division.
• SAWA Championships: Top 3 wrestlers in Freestyle receive a plaque, Custom medals for the top 3 wrestlers in each pool for Greco and Folkstyle, Triple Crown Plaque for winning all 3 styles
